CAT OF THE WEEK – MEET CLARENCE
Hi there! I’m Clarence and I’m growing up in the shelter. I came in as a tiny kitty with my mom and littermates. My mom tested FIV+ so people had concerns about adopting me. Once I reached the 5 month old mark, the shelter re-tested me and luckily, it was not transmitted to me and I just tested FIV negative so I’m released for adoption with no restrictions.
I’ve been at TAPS since May 15th, and I am now 7 months old. It’s time for me to go to a home! If you would like to get to know each other, please fill out our adoption application!
DOG OF THE WEEK – EMMA LEE
We are still in the process of finding the best fit home for Emma Lee, could it be you?
Emma Lee is a beautiful young Shepard full of life in need of a very special family that can commit to her training. Emma Lee is strong, has no leash manners, and will pull. She’s active, high energy and needs a family committed to her training. She’s not dog aggressive but right now, she is too much dog for another dog and does not read their energy. She is go, go, go. For now, she’ll need to be the only dog until a committed family works with her on leash manners, obedience, and listening to cues from her owner.
I don’t know Emma Lee’s background other than she transferred in from a high volume animal control. Whoever surrendered her to animal control did not appear to do an ounce of work with her and now she is paying the price by being an adult sized dog with a puppy mentality that continually gets passed over by adopter after adopter due to her lack of training. She will be a wonderful dog for someone who commits to training her. Adopter must be physically able to handle her. A fenced in yard is preferred for her to run off energy while she is in leash/obedience training with her owner. Adopters should be prepared to potty and obedience train. Please fill out our application if you think you could be THE ONE for Emma Lee!
