Featured Dog: Katherine

Katherine is a beautiful 7 year old female pit mix weighing in around 55lbs. Originally picked up for running stray, Katherine came to TAPS in poor condition and heartworm positive. However, she has recently recovered from her heartworm treatment and is now available for adoption. She appears to have been bred a lot in her past life and because of this she is insecure around other animals, so we believe she would do best as an only pet. One volunteer had this to say about Katherine

“When she arrived at TAPS, you could tell she never had a strong human connection before…[now] she looks forward to her time with staff and volunteers and gives kisses… While she’s technically a senior, she’s spunky but respectful.”

Featured Cat: Gold (update: Gold has been adopted! Yay!)

Gold is a two years old male golden tabby, a very unique color here at the shelter. He is a bit shy, but enjoys gentle pets and scratches and is learning that people are nice and that toys are fun!! He loves watching the birds with his friends at the shelter. If you think that you have the patience and heart to show Gold what love is and make him feel safe, you will have a best friend for life!! If you think that he might be a good fit for your family, please come to the shelter and get to know him!

Featured Long-Termer: Nova

Nova is a two year old handsome, white and tabby boy, here from a local animal control. He is a busy boy who likes to explore and chase toys. He also enjoys a spot in a window sill to watch birds and the outside. He likes his people and enjoys being petted, talked to, and a lap to lay in. He is very easy to get along with. If you think that he could be the right forever addition for your family, please come on in and get to know him!
