Furr-Ever Thankful Series- Featuring: Cloud
November 28, 2020 TAPS

Cloud was walked into TAPS on a rainy night almost exactly a year ago after being hit by a car on Springfield Road and left with no one coming to claim her. A kind samaritan found her, badly injured and thankfully, brought her to TAPS for help. Cloud had to undergo two surgeries to save her leg after finding she had a broken pelvis and a lot of torn muscle. The accident left her with some nerve damage which will likely require medication for the rest of her life.

Cloud was lucky to land into one of our foster homes very early on and has been able to heal comfortably. “CiCi”, as called by her foster mom is 2 years old with velvety soft fur and beautiful blue yes. She has wound up a little limited, and does walk with a limp, but Cloud enjoys running around the house and climbing and lounging like kitties do. She loves her scratchy cat tree and string toys, and to chase sparkly balls and toy mice. After almost a year on a road of recovery, Cloud is finally ready for her forever home. Keeping her on a good diet is really, really important because if she does not maintain a good weight it will be bad for her hip and back. Cloud enjoys hanging with her people and will sometimes lay in a lap or sleep with you, but she would prefer to not be held and carried around. Cloud will be seeking a home without young children, as this will be safest for her more fragile condition.

If you think Cloud would be the purrfect addition to your family, please fill out an application and her foster mom will be in touch. As we so often say, we can’t do the work we do without the communities support and this story is a perfect example of that! Cloud would have likely died that cold, rainy night, if it wasn’t for the kind person who rescued her and brought her to TAPS – and for that, we are so very thankful.
