The Adoption Process
If you see an animal you are interested in, we encourage you to submit a no-obligation application to be listed for consideration. After completing and submitting the adoption application, our front desk will begin the review process, which may take several days based on a variety of factors including but not limited to animal availability, reference, and landlord response. Applications for pets in foster homes are at the discretion of the foster home. If you have not received any feedback within 72 hours, please call the front desk at (309) 353-8277 x104 to leave a message. A front desk representative will contact you with an update. Approved applications are good for a period of 6 months. Approved applications may call the front desk at (309) 353-8277 x104 to have your application listed on additional animals that you may be interested in being listed on for adoption consideration.
TAPS is open by appointment only with an approved application. We are not currently open for public viewing.

Current Cat & Kitten Adoption Fees:
Kittens under 7 months: $100
2 felines <1 years old: $100
7 months & older: $75
Fee Includes:
- Spay/Neuter
- Age-appropriate Vaccines
- De-worming
- Flea Prevention
- Feline Leukemia Test
- FIV Test (6 MOS+)
- Microchip
Current Dog & Puppy Adoption Fees
Puppies aged 6 months & under: $250
Adult dogs aged 7 months – 6 years: $175
Senior dogs aged 7 years and older: $75
Fee Includes:
- Spay/Neuter
- Age-appropriate Vaccines
- De-worming
- Flea/Heartworm Prevention
- Heartworm Test
- Microchip
Relinquishment Fees:
Suggested fee is $25 — we encourage a higher fee if possible to help support our operation, but no fee is required.
